The Insurance Institute of Egypt (IIE), a training and education organization established in 1975, assists the Egyptian insurance industry in developing qualified personnel. Through research, study, scientific publications, education, training and consultation and to enhance the role of the insurance industry in the national economy.

On November 5, 1975, a decision was issued by the Board of Directors of the four Egyptian insurance companies “public sector” approving the establishment of the Insurance Institute of Egypt.

On September 24, 1976, the Insurance Institute of Egypt officially joined the Chartered Insurance Institute in London at the general conference held in Coventry, United Kingdom.
